All volunteers are to view the short video on the ‘New Laws to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse’, particularly those who work directly with children. These laws apply to all adults in Queensland and attract significant criminal penalties for non-compliance. The video can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgkAZFkJkJg.
The safeguarding training webpage includes links to register completed training online and directly with the People & Culture (HR) Office. Using the online Confirmation of Completion forms to register completed training avoids the need for volunteers and parishes to handle hardcopy forms. We encourage all our volunteers to use the online Confirmation of Completion forms where possible.
